I think my heart might explode, but my head will soon follow. It’s true what they say, you meet your best friends in dental school. I never considered that maybe there were 104 other people in this world that would share this journey with me.
Of course, it makes sense. We spend all of our classes together, numerous group projects, and somehow still want to hangout in our free time. Everyone says the best part of dental school is the people, and I completely agree. The people are what make this profession.
In the midst of October, the blog has been on the back burner. I’ve been staying BUSY. After white coat, a group of 6 of us went camping on Madeline Island. It was Honey’s second time camping on the island and we had so much fun. My friend Christopher is from Florida and this was a perfect North Shore experience. While we skipped the cliff jumping, we certainly partied hard at Tom’s Burnt Down Cafe. There were so many fun memories and good times shared around the campfire. The menu was fantastic (hate to flex), and a weekend camping made the perfect reset.

The two dental fraternities hosted their rush weeks and I’ve decided to join Psi Omega. I never expected to be in a fraternity, but this is the time in my life where I’ve decided to not hold back; I want to experience it all. My closer circle of friends also joined Psi O and we have our initiation ceremonies this Friday.
Speaking of frats and fun, we recently went on ASDA Boat Cruise!! Oh my goodness. It was a blast to dress up and look cute for a night on the St. Croix River. By the end, I was simply exhausted and I slept soooo good, but it was fun and crazy to see everyone, meet their significant others, and enjoy a party bus!

Our sweet Honey darling turned TWO! I hosted a potluck style birthday party for her and I was shocked by how many of my friends came and the delicious food they brought. It was very heartwarming. Honey is adapting to city life very well and she loves learning new tricks and taking long runs. Oh yeah, we ran the Mouths in Motion 5k and she COOKED. We came through in just over 21 minutes, and we were in 2nd place for most of the race, until she had to poop and pee twice. I’m still very proud of her and very impressed that she whipped out a 6:45 first mile and kept that pace pretty consistently.

Things coming up:
Buying (partnering?) my Loupes
Psi O initiation
Halloweekend
Dentistry Merit Badge
District 8 conference
That’s all for now, peep the TikTok to really stay up to date
